Workshops

Beginning in 2024, I have offered virtual sessions of generative workshops designed around Emergency Meditations: Poetry in Urgent Times as Peace and Possibility. For the Poetry Foundation’s Forms & Features series and for the Maker, Mentor, Muse spring salon series, I facilitated community explorations of poems from the margins, craft discussions, and creative prompts.

Drawing upon AIDS literature for reference, Temporary Utopias seeks to provide a space of possibility in the past, present, and future tenses: example poems from queer ancestors, providing a blueprint for survival; forward-looking leaps in prompts encouraging alternative world-building; & more.
